In a response to the video sent us by Southfield Park Primary School, we created a short presentation about the Kopalinski Bilingual Primary School and our wonderful class- III b.
Moreover, our children were really interested and had lots of questions to the pupils from Southfield Park Primary School.

Moreover, our children were really interested and had lots of questions to the pupils from Southfield Park Primary School.
You can become familiar with our questions and answers:
1. What do you wear to school? Do you have special
uniforms?
We do have a
uniform which is grey or black trousers/skirt/shorts and white shirt with a
purple jumper. Children in the juniors (7+) also have to wear ties.
2. What foreign languages do you learn?
Year 4 to 6 have
French lessons once a week and a teacher comes from a local secondary school to
teach these lessons.
3. How much time do you spend at school?
The school day
starts at 8:45 and lasts until 3:20. There are then clubs most days after
school which many of
the children participate in.
4. How many children are there in your classes? How many pupils are there in your school?
There are 30
children in each class so 330 children in total. We are currently getting
bigger every year with
one more class being added. In 3 years time we will be ‘full’ and there will be 420 children in total.
5. Do you have IT lessons?
We do have IT
lessons and try to use ICT in lots of different subjects. We have small laptops
in each classroom as well as cameras, video cameras, microphones and a few
iPads.
6. Can you give us more details about your school?
Children join the
school when they are 4 years old. We have two classes in each year group and
the children go through Reception, the Infants (Year 1 and 2) and then the
Juniors (Years 3 to 6). Our school is only 9 years old so everything is still quite new.
We also have several empty classrooms so that we have rooms for when the new
classes start. The school is
surrounded by a park on two sides, stables with horses on another and a housing estate on the other.
We use the park during PE lessons. In the school grounds we have different
playgrounds for the infants and the juniors. We
also have a pond and a nature area.
7. Where do you go for school trips?
We have trips in
Year 4 and Year 5 when the children go away to complete adventure type
activities like rock climbing, orienteering and team building games. Other year groups go to museums or
farms.
8. What subjects do you learn at school?
We have Literacy
(English), Maths, Science, ICT, Geography, History, Physical education,
Religious education, Life Skills, Art and Design and Technology.
9. What events/special days do you celebrate in
school?
We celebrate
Harvest in about October and normally have a special assembly for this. We then
have Christmas plays which all the children participate in. We celebrate World
Book Day in March. We have themed weeks
such as a Maths week, Reading week, Writing week, international week and feel
good week when we do fun activities in each of these areas.
10. Do you have breaks between lessons?
We have a break in the morning at 10:45 and then lunchtime at 12:15.
Morning break is 15 minutes and lunchtime is 60
minutes. We do have some clubs during lunchtime like an ICT club and a pupil
newspaper club. The library is also opened for children to come along.
